Azita Ghanizada

Azita Ghanizada, an Afghan American actress in the United States who has appeared in a number of television series. She is an actress from Afghanistan from Kabul Afghanistan. After fleeing her country of birth, her family moved to in the US. The family was granted asylum and allowed to stay. She is the middle sister of two sisters, and was raised in Northern Virginia. Ghanizada launched her television career with a role in National Commercials. Ghanizada's appearance in the Laura Neri 2004 film A Kiss on the Nose as Chiara received her a nomination for Best Actress in a festival. The actress was a guest star in several television series, including How I Met Your Mother Veronica Mars Wedding Bells Num3RS Bones Psych and Castle. Her most recent roles include a role as a support on the show Blood Shot, (2009) inspired by the science-fiction movie Blood Shot and independent comedy You Only Better (2009). Ghanizada was first noticed in 2008 when she joined the team for the General Hospital spin-off General Hospital. Season 2 of General Hospital, Night Shift, Ghanizada played Dr. Saira Bhatra who is an holistic physician. Ghanizada was cast as Kelly the Prada salesgirl in HBO Entourage.
